KDD, Sag Harbor & XOXO Implement 7thOnline Assortment Planning
New York, New York - February 15, 2007 - Kellwood Company (NYSE: KWD) has expanded its partnership with 7thOnline, Inc. to include its KDD Men's Sportswear, Sag Harbor Women's Apparel, and XOXO Contemporary Junior Apparel divisions. Sag Harbor and KDD have implemented 7thOnline's assortment planning system, and XOXO has implemented 7thOnline eSHOWROOM, a specialty store buying tool. Kellwood first implemented 7thOnline's assortment planning solutions in 2004. The company has realized significant returns due to improved order fill rates, reduced excess inventory, earlier visibility into production vs. demand, and best practice planning processes that drive optimal merchandise assortments at the SKU level.
KDD and Sag Harbor are utilizing 7thOnline ASSORTMENT PLANNER to develop and analyze visual and quantitative merchandise assortments at the SKU by store level. Users can share real-time plan information at any time via an Internet browser, both internally with colleagues and externally with trading partners. Management can analyze organization wide planning and retailer demand information in real-time, enabling them to make the best possible selling and inventory decisions. The end results are increased sales through earlier demand visibility and reduced costs through better inventory management and a streamlined process.
XOXO is utilizing 7thOnline eSHOWROOM to manage its relationships with its specialty store community. Sales representatives and their buyers can access a virtual showroom from any Internet browser, which enables them to view real-time product information and images and to transmit orders electronically at any time. The tool enables a more efficient, proactive, and accurate process for managing a large number of smaller buys.
