Business Analyst

Job Description
The Business Analyst is responsible for prioritizing and defining enhancement projects, including scope, assumptions, functional specifications and workflows. Works closely with customers, the development team, and operational support staff to ensure each software development release and associated tasks are high quality and on time.

Primary Responsibilities

• Analyze business processes and information needs
• Translate business requirements into functional requirements and work flows
• Help facilitate, manage and communicate the change process associated with a project
• Promote adherence to standardized processes, strategic principles, and architectural standards
• Actively share knowledge with other members of the development team and improve the tools and processes used by company personnel
• Schedule resources and activities related to software releases, including testing and documentation
• Assist in the management of support resources to meet production schedule
• Provide after hours support and testing, when necessary, for software releases to production

Job Qualifications

• Strong time management skills
• Detail oriented
• Exhibit strong knowledge of the software development cycle
• Technical writing ability, including experience with documenting functional software requirements
• Ability to communicate issues with team members and developers
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong problem solving, research and follow-through skills
• BS degree
• Five to eight years experience in software development, fashion industry preferred
